To "Grow-up" we must honor some facts at every level of our sport...

1) Every time we race there is only one contest winner and... someone always

finishes last! Take your time and think about the obvious.

2) National Championships are held to allow athletes to determine a champion...

when "it" counts, on that day, at that hour! 

3) National Team Trials are held to allow athletes to determine the team...

when "it" counts, on that day, at that hour!

4) They never ask the National/World/Olympic Champion, "What was your time?"

5) Generally we are by the nature of our sport's natural selection process, the worst collection of effective committee candidates.
